A project coach works with the Project Management Office (PMO), project manager or/and a project team to guide, advice and coach them through the many processes within the initiation, analysis, design, execution and closing phases of the project. If required, we will assist the project team and manage any changes in scope and deliverables so that the project can better succeed. If your Project Leaders require coaching, Klarad can help. Our consultants work with both large, complex, global projects and small, single location projects. We have a diverse range of experiences so you can feel comfortable that we will quickly understand your circumstances and direct you efficiently to the proper success channels.
Coaching and Mentoring Services
Coaching forms a significant component of a "skills development program". Its focus is concentrated on competency and skill development. Where professional sports teams utilize 'coaches' to develop team members and their full capabilities; Project & Program Management Coaching focuses on enhancing the ability of Project/Program Managers to apply existing and newly acquired PM leadership skills more effectively. The aim of coaching may include:
- enhancing leadership effectiveness,
- development/integration of proactive leadership habits
Mentoring is a more complex process and relationship. The fundamental purpose of a good Project Mentor is to help enable the Project Manager/Program Manager/Head of PMO to develop creative solutions, to grow and to find new ways to succeed from within their attribute set and at the same time add to their leadership catalog. Mentees may be very seasoned, yet interaction with an independent third party will create a greater impetus to explore new success options via new ideas. The aim of mentoring may include:
- challenging to explore and integrate new perspectives
- receiving guidance on specific challenges, including strategy and policy.
